Some more detail....

Diana founded Spremo Communications in 2001 following a successful career in public relations that focused on consumer goods clients. She was a member of teams that worked with many exciting and prestigious clients, including NIKE, Maple Leaf Meats, Kellogg's, Sharp Electronics, Evian Water, Cirque du Soleil, Buena Vista Home Video, Rogers Cable, Clearnet, American Sensors and the Canadian launch of both the Toronto Raptors and Planet Hollywood.

Prior to entering the corporate sector, Diana's career began at four top-ranked PR agencies in Toronto: Langdon Starr Ketchum, Environics Communications, Optimum Public Relations and Media Profile.

During her career, Diana has executed dozens of campaigns that have encompassed corporate communications, crisis management, media relations, special event management and execution, employee relations, community outreach, product publicity and marketing. Her clients have been featured in major and local market newspapers, magazines, radio and television programs across Canada.

In her first year as an independent consultant, she surpassed her own goals for entrepreneurial success based on a roster of satisfied clients. Today, she continues to use her experience and expertise to help clients effectively communicate and execute their campaigns.

Diana's energy, enthusiasm, efficiency and professionalism have all played contributing factors to her success.

For 10 years, from 1993 to 2002, Diana was a member of, and eventually ran the Media Relations Committee of the Canadian International Air Show at the CNE.
As the Media Relations Manager, she was responsible for all external media communication, organizing media events, booking media flights, promoting the show through interviews with visiting pilots and VIPs, acting as spokesperson and managing crisis communications.

More information than you need...

Diana set her sights on a career in communications from an early age...

Fate came knocking on Diana's door in Grade 12, showing her the path to what would become her career. Her high school was putting on a massive production of The Wizard of Oz and she wanted to be involved. But Diana had little desire to be on stage -- she always enjoyed the behind-the-scenes work. With hundreds of hours going into preparation and rehearsals, Diana found herself thinking, "What if no one comes?" So she approached the Director and asked if she could help publicize the play. "Help?" was the response, "Heck, you can DO the publicity." Well, that's all she needed to hear. A poster was produced and hung around the community, and what will go down in her personal history, is she wrote her first press release. That press release resulted in a half-page spread in the Toronto Star and Diana's first-ever radio interview on CFRB.

The show opened and performed to sell-out crowds, drawing not only from family members of students, but from the community at large. When Diana spoke with the Director and said, "I liked doing the publicity," he responded, "That's public relations." Well, Diana thought, "I can do this public relations stuff for a living."

And as the curtain came down for the last time, her fate was sealed........!
